Guys,
In this country we have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I, for one, would not refuse service to a gay person, but some people would and that’s their right. Now, if someone sets up shop across the street who is OK with serving gay people, that business might get more customers. That’s also OK.
There is much in the Civil Rights Act of 1965 that I like and respect. The government on every all level should never discriminate against anyone. With that said, individual people do have the right to discriminate, be idiots, be wonderful people, or be whatever. The marketplace of ideals will either reward them or punish them....which is how it should be. But, the Civil Rights act forces people to interact with people they may not agree with which is just wrong.
I know its PC to make a bar owner serve gay people and when he refuses, it makes the news. I would just love to see the Nazi Party (I’m picking an extreme example to make a point) insist on having their meetings at gay bar and claim a civil rights violation when they get refused. It’s the only way people will ever understand that we all have the right to associate with whomever we choose.
People bog down on the specifics of religious people not supporting the gay crowd. It’s the bigger picture we all have to keep in mind. Freedom works both ways.
And you’d think that to homos it would be wonderful... now they can open bars that serve nobody BUT homos (or at least self proclaimed ones, assuming they don’t have to show proof). No more fuddy duddy straights pooping their parties.

Not legally. You know that.
