I hope your kids are okay. I have a sister that lives there also.
My tree is a poplar and needs to be cut down,but it's so big. That’ll just leave me with one big Oak going nowhere and a Magnolia. Sad to lose trees. I planted all mine but the oak. It's been here way before me. It has to be almost 100 years old by now. Well I was born in Houston,so yes I know about those terrible hurricanes and also the double trouble of tornadoes. Err.

Thank you so much...yes, the kiddos are fine; I just hope that their roof is. The hail stones were HUGE; she sent pictures of some.

We planted our pine trees too and I'm miserable about having had to lose them, but they were gigantic.
