What am saying is, sometime in the future, Trump supporters will realize that all of the name-calling, Photoshopped pictures, and cutesy phrases associated with Cruz were all just part of a political campaign and there was no reason for calling him a POS here on FR.

Actually there is. What we see is Cruz working on delegates to turn them against Trump and to support him. Sure that is legal, but the only thing he has to work with delegates are to offer them deals and special favors - and like all such deals these will be at the expense of the taxpayer, either paid directly from taxpayer funds or paid indirectly by some "donor" whose interests are served by keeping Trump from the nomination, although Cruz at this point is unelectable.
