CITIZENSHIP does NOT mean NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. The Framers made a clear distinction between CITIZEN and NATURAL BORN CITIZEN for a very valid reason. The president and leader of the Armies MUST BE a person who had NO OTHER LOYALTIES. A natural born citizen is one born of both parents citizens AND born on the soil of the U.S. A Natural born citizen can be no other citizen by birth but American.

“The president and leader of the Armies MUST BE a person who had NO OTHER LOYALTIES”

That is absolutely false, although it sounds nice.

The Constitution requires a President to be at least 35 years old.

HOWVER....

The Constitution only requires a president to live inside the United States for 14 of those 35 years.

So 60% of a President’s life could be lived in a foreign country.

Why did the Founders do that?

Why didn’t they say that a President has to live 100% of his life inside the United States? Or 80%?

The Founders only require a President to live inside the United States only 40% of his life.

Where is that in the Constitution?
