And yes, IT FAILED.
You got that right.
Under Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution Ted Cruz was ineligible to be president in 2000 as he was only 29 years old.
If there should be a court ruling in 2016 declaring Senator Cruz ineligible on grounds that his birth in Canada disqualifes him from natural born citzenship, then so be it.
Thus far there has been no such ruling.
