No, because one born out of the country to an American citizen is a citizen of the US at birth.

Sounds definitive. Too bad that is simply NOT true. Besides, the question of citizen vs. natural born citizen is a real distinction. There are lots of citizens who are not NBC citizens, but there are no NBC's who are not also citizens (unless they expatriated after the age of 18).

The Constitution is clear on this issue, and Ted doesn't fit it. Sorry for your loss.
