Citizenship
Current Hawaiian US Senator Mazie Hirono was born to a US citizen mother and a foreign father in a foreign land. Her mother brought her to the US when she was seven years old. She defines herself as an immigrant is a “naturalized citizen” according to her biography.
Harvard Law Professor, Former Chairman of the Antitrust Advisory Committee to Obama’s campaign, Einer Elhauge, filed an amicus brief at the New York Supreme Court advising the court that Canadian-born Ted Cruz is not eligible to be president under the Article II natural born Citizen requirement. Elhauge also says it’s not a political question.
Exhaustive Legal Argument explaining error on Illinois Board of Elections decision
Ted Cruz is using Hillary’ Clinton’s lobbyist, and OPEN BORDERS ATTORNEY to fight his eligibility cases.
SCOTUS finding from 1971 (Rogers v Bellei) with EXACT circumstances as Cruz found that he would not even be a citizen.
And the ultimate hypocrisy for someone who is a beneficiary of “birth right” citizenship. In 2011 he claims he is for it and it won’t help to change it. Now he claims he was ALWAYS for it....INCLUDING in 2011!!

“Current Hawaiian US Senator Mazie Hirono was born to a US citizen mother and a foreign father in a foreign land.”
There is a significant difference between Senator Hirono’s and Senator Cruz’s sitiuations. In Hinoro”s case her mother left the US in 1939 at the age of 15 years. She was too young to pass US citizenship on to her daughter. So Senator Hinoro was born only a Japanese citizen and had to naturalize to become an American citizen.
Senator Cruz’s mother was 32 years old when she moved to Canada and was well past the residence requirements of US immigration law. She passed US citizenship to her son at birth. Cruz was born with both US and Canadian citizenship and did not have to naturalize.
