This whole delegate system seems so unnecessarily complicated. It's too easy to accidentally vote for delegates for the person you don't support.

I believe that is the whole point of doing it that way: to trick people into voting for the wrong delegate/candidate.

Such trickery seems to be common practice in the northeast, enabling the "party machines" to more easily steer votes towards designated cronies.

It seems like just another control mechanism intended to thwart the will of voters. I'm sure that it results in letting the establishment candidates gain a few percentage points that they would otherwise not get...

Once upon a time, I thought only the Democrat party engaged in dirty tricks. Wow, was I naive.

Even if, God forbid, Trump loses, I hope this election has opened enough eyes for real change to follow. The Republican party no more represents the will of the people than does the Democrat party.
