Colorado is one of six states or territories — including American Samoa, Guam, North Dakota, Wyoming and the Virgin Islands — that opted not to hold Republican presidential caucuses or a primary decided by voters. Instead, the state’s Republicans are meeting this weekend to finalize a slate of 37 delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July.
The process is not simple, however. On Saturday, thousands will pack an arena in Colorado Springs as more than 600 candidates speak for 20 seconds each in an effort to be delegates. Cruz is also slated to speak, along with a representative for the third GOP presidential candidate, Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
“It’s going to be messy,” said George Leing, who is already guaranteed a delegate spot as a state committeeman for the Republican National Committee. “It’s not the prettiest thing, but so far it’s working.”
You see that as a negative. I see it as people opening their eyes to what the Dems have become over the last several decades. Many of my extended family were diehard rats because of the unions.
Since 2012 when it took 3 votes to include God in their platform, Benghazi and the economy, most have left that party. And jobs and caring about the military has made Trump very appealing to them. Sad you see that as bad.
While God is a big thing to them the Elmer Gantry act of the other candidate has been a real turn off.

For years I worked within the in NM party apparatus for various candidates. Finally, my primary efforts actually matter, let alone my vote.
With that opportunity I plan to use the rules to support the candidate that most closely matches what I want - not the establishment. And I hope that a liberal doesn’t fake us out again. Ted Cruz is a real conservative who can win the argument against whichever socialist the libtards settle on.
Does that mean getting in bed with an wildly fornicating and fluffing every establishment elitist he can get close to?

You repeating lies makes me sicker. If you cared about fornicators you wouldn’t support Trump! Cruz is not a fornicator. You only believe so because Trump and his buddies put it out there along with DC madam and many other things. If there had been anything to it ALL media would have covered it, instead of previously unknown little blogs and those totally in the tank for Trump like GP. In plain English he has alienated a majority of GOP voters instead of adding to his base.
It is Trump and only Trump’s fault that he will not win 1237. He went Alinsky on Jeb, Carson, and Cruz, all conservative media outlets, tried to destroy Fields reputation, Kelly’s reputation, and so many others. That and his lack of policy basic knowledge is why he has not grown his base.
To some extent. The problem is rather than being an inclusive candidate that draws people from all groups Trump is divisive with his crude, denigrating personal attacks. The end result may be that he draws those people who have always identified as Rats and have no concern about social issues, but he will lose a sizeable number of people who do care about social issues and will not support someone who is such an embarrassment.
Come on! We know who the real “fornicator” is. Or should I say “Whore,” who would do and say anything to get elected.
Before this year, I had never noticed the second primary after the primary where the people are asked what they want. My assumption - wrongly - was that the party had a straightforward (but anachronistic) mechanism to carry the people’s will to the convention.
This look under the hood, especially in states where they don’t even poll the people, has me more than disillusioned.
I am disgusted.
I am at a crossroads, and I must decide how much Machiavelli I can stomach. At the moment, I’m not sure I can swallow much more from the GOPe powers that be.
And 4 CO delegates remain unbound so Cruz only got 17 there. Every one counts for Trump but not so much Cruz, he can’t make it anyway.

In this case it is a negative. These voters aren't crossing over because they recognize that conservatism is the answer to the country's problems. Rather they are crossing over because they think their leader can run things better and they are using the same thuggish behavior that their unions do for the Rats. It is not a case of the Pub party growing and becoming more conservative. It is the Pub party being pulled left by a large segment of crossover voters.

This is a great example of the point I'm making. In addition to criticizing people of faith (something typically found with leftists) we also see a segment of the "new" Pub party that thinks Pres. Bush didn't do a good job on the war on terror, or in Iraq, or in Afghanistan, or keeping the country safe.
The next thing you know, we'll see Sen. Cruz being called an establishment candidate.
You are in error about crossover reason for many and sadly I see your view of Cruz as in error also in light of his character revealed this election.
But at least for now we have the freedom of our opinions. I accepts that you have as much right to yours as I do mine.
