Just spent an hour on phone w my son in Istanbul.
One of the squares he was walking in earlier this eve was just cleared for a suspicious package.
Turned out to be nothing.

I live in the safest place in the world, and we get suspicious packages here, too. The safety of Israel lies in the fact that we have an established protocol for deal with these things, they’re so frequent. Istanbul will become safer in the same sense, but not for a while yet. I wish your son home in one peace.
