It’s not me you have to worry about. New polling today: “A third of Republican voters who support Donald Trump could turn their backs on their party in November’s presidential election if he is denied the nomination in a contested convention, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.”

He doesn’t. It’s impossible.

And even if he had the Republican support, he needs much than that to win. He needs Independent support and he will never get that from those voters.

That block of voters is definitely not looking for a preacher-in-chief. The same quirkiness that appeals to tiny groups of caucuses in a smidgeon of states will be downfall in the swing-states where those votes must count.

Anyone: Name a single swing state that Ted Cruz would have a strong chance of winning.
