Ted Cruz started out life as a Canadian citizen, and here he is running for POTUS.
Don’t think for one minute the Democrats won’t use this fact against him in a general election.
Closer to the start of primaries, Tribe stated that Cruz’ claim of natural born status was at odds with his other claim of being a Constitutional originalist.
When I was younger, I was taught a person, in order to be a natural born citizen, eligible for President, had to be either born on US soil, or be born to diplomats serving overseas.
Cruz does not meet those criteria.
During the long threads about Obama’s eligibility, I read an article on some legal website. It is turn posted an entire legal opinion, regarding the eligibility of Romney’s father George, when he ran in 1968.
The article concluded he was NOT eligible, since he was born in Mexico to US citizen parents, not to diplomats.
Shoul Cruz gain the nomination, be certain the dems will wisely and cleverly raise doubts, about Cruz.
I don’t claim to know the legal answer. I do know there is no legal precedent, and that no President was born outside the US.
They are lining up judges right now to issue an October NOT surprise... too late to print up new ballots... type of crap to make sure the queen wins.
She has had NO FEAR of Ted but GREAT FEAR of trump because they don’t have the geo locations for where the bodies are buried... like they do with Teddy.
Actually Sen Cruz started life as a US Citizen. He was a US citizen at birth.
