If Trump hadn't run Cruz wouldn't have gone past the Texas primary.
Bush would have been the frontrunner and everyone would have gone after Cruz and knocked him out as unelectable.
Cruz is only around because the GOPe has no one else left.
When the Trump voters do go, enjoy what is left of the GOP, because it will be dead, with the GOPe firmly in control.
Trump is nearly 70, has no organization, and will rapidly become a political irrelevance if he loses. Then we'll all sit muttering in our tiny little factions about how it was other conservatives who screwed us over, while the country burns.
As much as I detest Trump (and an increasing number of intolerant Trumpers), I'm still voting for the guy if he's the nominee. Feel free to sit in your smugness and watch the country go down the drain, though, because obviously your pride is worth more to you.
Wrong, Cruz had massive grass roots support and hugely successful fundraising because of it. He would have the nomination locked up now if not for the undocumented Democrat Trump blocking him in a bid to help get his friends Billary elected. Cruz would’ve won Iowa and then went onto win the South, the Midwest, etc. Bush never had a chance. Rubio would’ve stayed in longer but not prevailed.
