That doesn’t mean every kid who got drafted and sent to serve at Auschwitz was responsible.

A private sent to guard a prison camp or fight on the front lines, there was no difference between the two.

Back in the late 70's the labor relations manager at my plant was of German descent and he lived in Dearborn. He invited me and another employee who was the son of head of plant security, to a party at a German cultural center in Dearborn on a Saturday night.

During the course of the evening while the beer was flowing, Carl was pointing out older gentlemen in the crowd who fought for the German army and came to the U.S. after the war ended.

I have no problem hunting down the officers who gave the orders but I can't justify the same actions being taken against those who had no choice but to follow those orders......

Apparently coercion did not seem to be respected as a factor, and indeed we have the meme now, proffered to that end, that “just following orders is no excuse.”

However, “karma” has a way of filling the vacuum left by abandoning the grace of God. Israel is under severe trials today. No it will never disappear; God will not violate His promise. But it has not obtained a “special pet indulgence” license from heaven either.
