All the caucus proves is how pro-Trump Clique-ee it is on any day. A great place for like-minded folk to congregate. I used to vote, but for the most part, stopped. Many others, IMHO, have abandoned it. I think the caucus was initially a cool idea, but all it is now is a tally of posters who remain interested in responding to it.
Bottom line, is, I vote for Trump if he gets 1237 *prior* to the convention. He should be the nom, and will be the nom. Otherwise, Trump loses the 1st ballot, and Cruz on the 2nd ballot should be the nom (rule 40!) and will be the nom.
Correction: Nobody loses the 1st ballot - the point is that nobody in fact wins it.
If Trump comes to the party a little light, he’ll have redundant contingency at the ready.
I’m not all that sure the GOP doesn’t want Cruz as the nominee. Him or Ryan whichever non-Trump they put out there is a sure loser. I’m betting they’d rather Cruz go down in flames than one of their golden boys.
