she recalled a time when she struggled to find Halloween costumes or birthday presents for her daughter.

Are we seriously supposed to believe that? That there are no Halloween costumes or presents for little girls? Like there aren't rows and rows of Princess Ariel dresses and EZBake Ovens?

Now, I grant that there probably aren't a lot of GI Jane camo chemises or "Lil Miss" Turret Lathes. But I suspect most little girls would recoil at being given those anyway.

Her daughter, Laura, was born in the mid-1980s. The story that she couldn’t get “gender neutral” costumes or toys is a flat-out lie.

Yea I really don’t get it. I obviously didn’t see boys wearing ‘girlish’ (can I still say that) princess costumes or the like on Halloween. But there were plenty of girls that were storm troopers or pirates or teenage mutant ninja turtles or whatever they wanted to be.

She is just deranged.
