” The rules for most delegates allow them to vote for whomever they want on the second ballot. All Cruz is doing is trying to win the convention if Trump doesn’t wrap things up on the first ballot. Kind of like how Reagan tried to beat Ford, despite Ford having more bound delegates in 1976.”

Did you happen to read the headline or are you stupid? Using rules to usurp the will of the people is not more ethical/moral than using the rules to steal your rights.

So get your head out of your Cruz butt and do some thinking...what happened to the principled conservative Christians that were supposedly making up Cruz support? I thought they were mostly phony as well...no one who is truly principled and Christian could support him.

What part of unbound delegate don’t you understand? CO has a system in place that doesn’t bind the delegates to vote for any candidate (despite the popular vote). They can vote for Jeb Bush or Paul Ryan if they choose for that matter.

Imagine the horror or Ted Cruz trying to delve into the various rules of each state, and gasp, try to get delegates. Gosh, you might think he was running for office or something. As for the will of the people, that is what this whole process has been about. The will of the people have spoken quite nicely already. Everybody but 3 guys have dropped out.

The rules are the rules. Like them or don’t like them. I for one will not view Cruz badly one bit for trying to get unbound delegates to vote for him. If he can out hustle Trump and make a better case whey he should be the party nomination, more power to Cruz.
