On March 10, Attorney Stephen Pidgeon, lead counsel for the North American Law Center sent a letter to Texas Secretary of State Carlos H. Cascos on behalf of a legal citizen and voter in Texas, as well as in the public interest of the nation, questioning if, when Cruz ran for, was elected and certified by the Texas Secretary of State as the new U.S. Senator representing the people of Texas, he was a legal citizen of Canada.

As of this writing, Pidgeon has not received a response.

Ted Cruz

Attached to his letter, Pidgeon provided a copy of Cruz's birth certificate indicating Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He also attached a copy of Cruz's Certificate of Renunciation of Canadian Citizenship, whereas Cruz "formally renounced Canadian citizenship and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on May 14, 2014."

When Cruz was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship, indicating Cruz was only a citizen of Canada.

Whatever deal Cruz made with the GOP to get their backing apparently does not include him winning the nomination on any vote.

"To which you are wrong because...blah blah blah"

You aren't addressing the criticism I posted at all, you are just continuing your own rant about other things. You are free to rant all you want, just stop pretending you are arguing with something I said.

My sister was born in Washington during the war. My mom and dad were sent There from Montreal. She was the mirror image of Cruz. She was a dual citizen. The US used her birthplace to make her American. Canada used the citizenship of our parents to make her Canadian. Before she turn 21, she inquired of both governments what her status was. They both wrote her to say the first country she voted in would be her on and then only citizenship. She chose Canada thus giving up her US citizenship.

Cruz voted in the US. His Canadian citizenship was instantly voided. THERE WAS NO PAPERWORK REQUIRED!

Cruz has voted in the US since. He has travelled around the world on a US passport. He does not have to show any papers other than that passport to come and go. He has no Naturalization certificate.

Deal with it!

You said that Canadian law had no bearing on Ted Cruz’s nationality when Ted was born because Ted’s mother was a US citizen to which you have absolutely no proof of, but setting his mother’s problem aside, you are absolutely ignorant of how nationality at birth works as well as the limits of the jurisdiction of US nationality laws.

"You said that Canadian law had no bearing on Ted Cruz’s nationality when Ted was born because Ted’s mother was a US citizen..."

I made no reference at all to Ted's mother. You are confused.

"... you are absolutely ignorant of how nationality at birth works as well as the limits of the jurisdiction of US nationality laws."

And again you aren't addressing things I actually said. You either have me confused with someone else, or you are having an imaginary argument in your head and attributing it to me.

Whether he was a citizen of the US is a matter for US law, not Canadian law. Duh.

Again, you are obviously ignorant of the jurisdictional limits of US citizenship laws so let me help you, citizenship can ONLY be attained when one is "IN" the United States, either at birth or upon naturalization and that is why toddler Teddy came to the US as a "nonquota" immigrant per Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 of the US Constitution and the Immigration & Nationality Acts of 1952 & 1965 respectively.

Again, you are having an argument with yourself. Please leave me out of it. It sounds like it’s too crowded in there.

Obama’s mother wasn’t old enough to confer U.S. citizenship at the time of Obama’s birth. Cruz’s mother was well past the required age.

“Having extensively reviewed all articles cited in this opinion, as well as many others, this Court holds, consistent with the common law precedent and statutory history, that a ‘natural born citizen’ includes any person who is a United States citizen from birth,” wrote Judge Dan Pellegrini in a written opinion issued after denied the petition at a hearing Thursday.

What an idiot. According to this clown, anchor babies can be President of our fair land.

God help us..

Be assured these are the arguments that will be advanced by the GOPEs (under the guise of the Socialist Democrats) in the increasingly unlikely event that Ted Cruz would be the nominee.

The GOPE leadership may hate Donald Trump because he's not a "professional politician," but they fear Ted Cruz because he's a conservative political insider; thus, far more dangerous to the power barons in both parties than Trump can ever be.

“You do know that the “birther” label is party of Alinsky tactics to silence the opposition don’t you? I wouldn’t expect any kind of conservative to jump on that bandwagon.”

Nonsense, you can call someone out for bad logic and bad law without giving up your conservative credentials.

And to volley back, you do know that name calling and trying to silence your opposition (like you are doing) is a liberal tactic, right?

He boasted about his Canadian citizenship in school. He knew. I’m just wondering if he has any American citizenship or is he stateless now.

I’m not trying to silence you, just pointing out you got dragged into the Alinsky dialogue.
