From reading her apology it’s obvious her lawyer told her she had really stepped in it this time!!!
Anyone can file a suit. Winning one is another matter. What is her cause of action? She got her feelings hurt?
I read the apology...if that is what you want to call it...

One has an imperfect right to a proper apology. A proper apology consists of admission of guilt, an admission of understanding the roots and causes of the wrong behavior and condemning it,a sincere determination to clean the slate and restore one’s moral purity and work to improve one’s character for the future, and offer restitution (if applicable). Then one can ask for forgiveness.
That was a pretty sorry apology. I’d say go ahead and sue. Maybe next time she writes an apology she will mean it instead of being condescending and cute about it.
So... Imagine if someone had made the same type of horrid comments, but instead of directing it at Palin they directed it at one or both of the 0bama daughters?
This type of “free speech” has no place in a civilized society and Banks needs to acknowledge that and do whatever it takes to set things right by Sarah and every other person who was/is appalled by the disgusting filth she spewed.
