You know what Ted Cruz ought to do?
He ought to flip them the bird, cuss them out, and tell them to “getouddahere!”
They’d think he was one of them, and vote for him in a heartbeat.
I just like Cruz FINALLY getting some negative press. The press has been up Cruz’s butt for months acting like winning the primary without voters is awesome. Winning 4 states and 6 caucus’ is not good. Wake up press and do your job!
But that would be unPresidential. Unless of course his name was Donald Trump.
Couldn’t be worse than any of the pandering he did to evangelicals in Iowa......

Actually, yeah. That probably would earn him some respect.
Instead he decided to smarmily badmouth them/us before coming to try to beg for votes.
(Not sure if I count as a New Yawker, but I did live there for a while and it was one of the best, albeit the most impoverished times of my life.)
But where would he get his funding then?
Another Canadian flipped the bird to voters in the past. Pierre Trudeau gave the finger to some Western Canadians way back and the Liberal Party never got a foothold in Western Canada. Probably wise to keep his finger to himself so to speak.
Frankly, that strategy is more clever than anything Ted has tried the past two days in NY.
Even Ted is smart enough after 48 hours of abuse, to treat NY as a foregone 50+ WTA for Trump and instead attempt a Pennsylvania upset.
Santorum did ok in the northern half of the Keystone; although SweaterVest -- a bit surprisingly, I thought at the time -- got shellacked by Bishop Dullard in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh).
