If I were a HR recruiter for a big-name company....I’d be shaking my head over the recruitment deal for young people coming to the company over the next five years. I wouldn’t allow any snowflake to be hired....mostly because they don’t have the temperament to handle real work. I don’t know what these punks were doing for the past decade, or how they got through college, but I’d refuse to bring them in or hire them.

No worries, they will all get .gov jobs in the Department of Reeducating Bitter Clingers.

I would definitely bring them in just to teach them how to deal with rejection, however traumatizing.

I agree. For every crybaby snowflake they hire, they better hire five lawyers. It’s going to be lawsuit city.

I stopped hiring Ivy League grads. I need common sense and critical thinking skills from my staff, something which ivy leaguers do not have today. Don’t care if they can read and memorize a book better than someone else. They don’t understand, what’s the problem, what’s been impacted and what’s the action plan for fixing it?

I saw this in my company over 20 years ago. They’d woo the tech talent in with beach-themed job fairs, etc. and then some of those hires would be crying about tough managers.

But it’s gotten worse since then.

I’m from the old school. I actually liked those managers. They were tough. And fair.
