I was weaned on Grand Old Opry. He had some great duets with Dolly.
Much later I was happy to see that Graham Parsons was really into Porter’s sparkly ‘Nudie suits.’
Glad you liked that FRiend, having grown up outside the Washington DC area in the Peoples Republic of Maryland before it was the 'Peoples Republic', I would get up just before 6:00 am every morning to carefully tune the AM radio in our kitchen for my Mom so she could enjoy WSM's "Martha White Show" with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, barely could tune it in with the atmospheric 'skip' starting to fade, but a lot of happy memories there.
As for Porter? I'm sure you have probably seen his last rendition of 'Committed to Parkview' with Marty Stuart, it's worth posting I think, and hope your day and week is good:
