Well, I am not so sure about the Cyrus analogy. Cyrus was named in the clear text of the Bible 150 years before he was born. Unless you think Paul was referring to Donald Trump when he said, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” But that may be stretching it a little. ;-)
As to why Cyrus “championed the cause of the Jews”, it is pretty simple.

1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,
2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.

So it seems that either Daniel or Ezra, or maybe both, took the Books of Isaiah and Jeremiah to King Cyrus. They showed him where he was is named as YHWH’s anointed in Isaiah 54 and how in Jeremiah 29 YHWH says that after seventy years of captivity he will put in a good word and cause the Jews to return to Jerusalem.
If you saw you name written down in a book that you knew was at least 200 years old, wouldn’t you do what it said you were to do? Especially when one of the guys showing you this had spent a night in a den of lions without being eaten?
I would not say that Cyrus was a type of Christ. Cyrus was more the type of a sensible and believing Gentile, whom we will no doubt get to meet on the Glassy Sea.
I also hope that you are not getting too attached to this world. The end of the Church Age is very close. The Great Sign in the Heavens from Revelation 12:1-2 is going to happen on September 23-24, 2017.
Time to read your Bible and pray “that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

So, thanks for your ministry of correction. I made and observation, as you did. Your Samson observation is apt, as is my Cyrus observation. I didn’t bother to show the flaws in your observation, as that would have been obtuse. All human types of Christ from the OT are flawed, if for no other reason than original sin.
