I guess an outfit like that would also not be acceptable as a Halloween costume on that campus.

I went to IU (where my FReeper name comes from). In the early 70s I knew a group of 4 or 5 guys that would dress up as KKK on Halloween and meet up with some guys wearing women’s dresses and then make the rounds trick or treating around campus. Some of the KKK guys were black students. It was hilarious. Somewhere young people lost the ability to laugh.
