Pat Buchanan is a strong Trump supporter. He is extremely familiar with the workings of the convention. He knows that the delegates select the nominee. It take 1237 delegates to win. Trump MIGHT/PROBABLY WILL have 1237 when they get to the convention. If he has 1237, then he’ll be the nominee. If he doesn’t, then it will go to the convention on the 2nd ballot.

Many are saying that if it gets to the 2nd ballot that not even Cruz will come out of the convention with the nomination. So we lose BOTH Trump and Cruz.

Retaining Rule 40 means that ONLY Trump or Cruz could come out of the convention as the nominee.

IF Trump goes into the convention with 1237, then this doesn’t hurt him.

IF Trump goes into the convention with 1237, then it helps him AND doesn’t hurt him.

imo "coming out with Cruz" is a dead loss for the party Not only will his character be ripped to shreds in the general election once the friendly MSM turns on him, he will take down the entire party for another 4 years minimum After his falseness and hints of unvetted bad character have been revealed (his mistress tweeting herself posing on a hotel room bed with condoms? Puh leeze) I could not vote for Ted Cruz anymore than I could send money to Ernest Angley photo ernest_zps1wvjomxp.jpg
