Here’s a simple question that desperately needs an answer.
Donald Trump won the Arizona primary in a landslide, 47.1 percent to Ted Cruz’s 24.9 percent, giving the GOP front-runner all 58 of that winner-take-all state’s delegates.
Right now, the Cruz campaign is engaged in a “furious” on-the-ground campaign in Arizona – and in other states won by Trump, including Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee – to convert Trump delegates into Cruz delegates on a second ballot, should there be a contested GOP convention this summer.
The question is: Is this moral?
Trump calls it “crooked as hell.” But let’s back up a little.
As the Washington Examiner reported Monday, in a story headlined “Cruz snaring Trump’s Arizona delegates” and posted in the lead position of the Drudge Report:
Sen. Ted Cruz is out-hustling Donald Trump and looks set to ensure many Arizona delegates will defect to him in a convention floor fight.
The Texas senator, who ever since Iowa has played a stealthy ground game in contrast to Trump’s chaotic populism, is taking steps to snatch the Republican presidential nomination from The Donald at the convention in July.
The New York businessman easily won last month’s Arizona primary taking 47 percent to Cruz’s 25 percent, scooping up all 58 of the state’s delegates. That’s nearly 5 percent of the 1,237 Trump needs for the nomination, and they’re tied to him on the first ballot.
But Cruz, exploiting deep opposition to Trump among grass-roots Republicans, has been far more active in Arizona than Trump, insiders say. He’s recruiting candidates for the available 55 delegate slots, that along with the other three delegate positions filled by party leaders, would be allowed to vote for him in a multi-ballot contested convention.

Anyone would have to be a fool to believe Cruz is an outsider, he knows every dirty trick there is to know. He is too organized and dirty to not be ESTABLISHMENT, 100%.
Cruz’s campaign chairman is a GOPe blueblood. Chad Sweet, look him up. Cruz was a lifelong GOP establishmnet careerist until he self servingly jumped on the TEA wave. Now he’s jumping off because the GOPe has a better deal for him. Conservatives are dead to Cruz now. He’s going after the mushy moderate anti-Trumpers.
Yes that would be true if Cruz wasn’t staying in just to make sure that Trump doesn’t get the number to win the first ballot even though he knows he can’t!

There should be no second ballot. Cruz should step down because he is mathematically eliminated. Jim Robinson also stated Cruz should step aside.

Again...total BS....Trump's tax plan is one of the highest rated, by Forbes, etc and Larry Kudlow AND Art Laffler (economy experts....unlike cRuz) both have offered kudos to Trump's excellent tax plan.
Also, Trump's tax plan contains NO VAT tax, unlike cRuz And, Trump is the ONLY one saying he'll save Medicare and Social Security.
None of those positions will help the economy.
Wrong!! ONLY Trump's positions are BEST suited to fix the economy and bring BACK - not send away (like TPA Ted) Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.

Getting rid of 40-b is a very real possibility— and Cruz himself addressed that possibility today.
If the race were a clear division like Ford and Reagan then the convention rules would be legit.
But Cruz is going to be nowhere close to the delegates of Trump!
His only goal is to stop Trump from winning on the first ballot and then steal the nomination.

It begins by running for an office that you know you are not qualified to hold as a Canadian born American. Running in spite of defining natural born a few short years ago as born to citizen parents on American soil. Running despite the damage it does to the fabric of America to flaunt the constitution and erode a provision that affords America protection against infiltration by foreign interests that could imperil our very existence. That probably doesn’t matter as much to Cruz since he favors a North America without national borders and 500% increase in H1B visas.
The immorality continues by hiring the sleaziest campaign manager in recent memory who has become notorious for his dirty and questionable tactics in other campaigns. Lying about your competitors positions, boldfaced despite numerous nonpartisan fact checkers calling you out. No need to list the tricks against Carson, Rubio, Trump. You have to be a low life to admire lowlife tactics and claim that using them means you are more intelligent and resourceful.
The moral candidate, showing us the face of God. For shame to wear a coat of saintliness and then use every dirty trick and lie to spoil the election, I say spoil because Cruz can never win; he can only damage Trump and allow the Uniparty to put in Ryan or the rino puppet of the month. No truly honorable man tries to use the reflection of God’s glory for his own gain.
Cruz is bought and paid for and held by fear of exposure. Cruz is bought and paid to overturn the will of the electorate and throw the election to whomever the Uniparty chooses.

I disagree. The majority of Cruz supporters have a baseline of conservative principle. They then compare and contrast candidates based on that matrix. I don't see a lot of Cruz supporters saying that they don't prefer Trump so they are voting for Cruz. Their selection is affirmative based on principle.
Contrast that with a Trump supporter. Their support is based on two things: emotional rhetoric and what they perceive to be success in the private sector that will transfer over to the public.
Ask yourself this question: where has the vaunted cross-over Reagan democrats been for the last 30 years? I'm supposed to believe that no Republican has advocated policies beneficial to them in all that time? That it required Trump to bring them back? Even if that's the case it is more damning because it more than suggests that their adherence to principle is based solely on the personality of the candidate and the rhetoric he or she espouses.
And when Trump is not the nominee, or is elected and serves his term what happens to them? Do they go back to their old ways? I suspect that is the case. That's why Trump supporters are a fickle bunch and I certainly would not want to entrust the future of this country to such individuals.
At least he makes his money honestly!

Number one, Jane. You cannot trust Trump. You have no basis to do so. He’s been slimy in business and nasty with women.
And, two, he has no firm policies on the things you talked about. He flip flops all the time. He has only a vague understanding of foreign policy and he’s too quick on the trigger.
He says he’d hire good people but admitted he doesn’t like to hire people smarter than himself because he can’t stand not to be the smartest in the room.
I think Ted Cruz has a much better, more thought out tax plan.
But that doesn’t matter.
Cruz has a record of doing what he promises.
Trump has a record of changing policies every day.
Cruz is trying to win delegates.
