Mercola is not a reputable source. The guy is a kook who misuses his medical training to bamboozle people and gets rich by selling worthless “supplements.”
If you are genuinely sick, go see a licensed physician or PA. If you are not sick, you should not be taking “supplements” that some quack promises have pharmaceutical qualities. “Supplements” that do not have active ingredients are a useless waste of money. “Supplements” that do contain pharmaceutically active chemicals are dangerous. If you take them without having a diagnosed condition, you can damage your body. Furthermore, since “supplements” are unregulated, they contain variable quantities of pharmaceutically active chemicals, ranging from too low to have an effect to high enough to be toxic.
