Companion yes. Marriage no Particularly if you are self sufficient. Was lucky until recently to have a group of women who were widowed young and knew each other most of their life I was younger and did most of the driving. A short time ago they all passed. Friends my age have been widowed but remarried most immediately. Successfully? Has yet to be determined???
I’m a rebel. And picked up the hammer, saw and got busy redoing my barn ( click on name) and renovating a couple of small houses to rent.
