I'll repeat what I said -- immediately after 9-11 -- should be standard pratice on airlines:
Supply every seat-back pocket with one, heavy-duty "Zip-Tie". A determined group of four or five men could easily dogpile, disarm and immobilize even a box-cutter-wielding Jihadi:
"What's that you say, Raghead? The one around your neck is too tight? Here, let me fix that... ZIIIP! Ooops! Seems they only move in one direction... Sorry 'bout that..." '-)
