In music, that's a perfect fifth, although on a string instrument, if you want to hit the quarter tone above the "A", you put an "up" arrow to the right of the "A". It's called "expressive intonation," and Mozart was fond of it.

As one who is ignorant of the symbolism, why is there a plus sign to the left of the "A".
