So you want to elect a president with ZERO allies, unable to pass anything; essentially a 4-year lame duck.

Or go with an actual conservative.

The established losers are: McCain and Romney. Do we want another establishment loser?? That does not really care whether he wins or loses??

America cannot afford any more of these.

“Ted Cruz backed by 100% GOP Establishment losers.”

For now. Most of them wouldn’t care if Ted loses to Hillary in November.

Absurd.

Cruz has rattled cages and annoyed the Republican “establishment” ever since being elected to the Senate. He’s a total outsider, and one of the Trump criticisms of him is that nobody in Washington likes him.

All this talk about bringing in an alternate candidate at a brokered convention? Must be because the “establishment” loves Ted.

Is he getting support from some mainstream Republicans now? Of course. As is Trump. All of us are having to hold our noses and decide which is the best of two bad choices. When compared to Trump, Cruz often wins.

Maybe so (snicker), but he is still the ONLY constitutional conservative running and he is Christian and he has principles in spite of the incessant rabid delusional hatred displayed by the sTrumpets.

Well I like Ted a lot but I am also OK if Trump wins.

This is in spite of ongoing headlines like: “TRUMP WOULD BE MOST DISLIKED LEADER SINCE NERO”.

He’s a placeholder for the establishment. His only purpose it to prevent Trump from getting a first round majority of delegates. After that they will dump him for Ryan, Romney, Rubio, etc.

If Cruz does somehow manage to win the nomination, the GOPe will make him a sacrificial offering to the hildebeast, all to reach across the aisle, and maintain the status quo of the DC establishment.

Trump on the other hand, would be the equivalent of a bull riding a wrecking ball through the china shop, and leaving no delicate teacup unscathed.

Noting that I will vote for Cruz if nominated, regarding his so-called “evangelical” support, I suspect that Cruz’s campaign is actually based on the bully pulpit.

Since the Constitution prohibits Congress from making religion-related laws, how are Christians expecting Constitution expert Cruz to support them as POTUS since he is constitutionally obligated to veto any religion-related bill that Congress puts on his desk?

Or are Christians unthinkingly expecting Cruz to follow in lawless Obama’s footsteps by making unconstitutional executive orders that favor Christians?

Note that regardless what FDR’s state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices wanted citizens to think about “the government” and the establishment clause, the states have always had the 10th Amendment-protected power to make religious policy, the states obligating themselves to make sure that such policies don’t abridge constitutionally enumerated rights when they ratified the 14th Amendment.

So why are Christians seemingly turning to the feds, as evidenced by “evangelical” support for Cruz, the feds having no constitutional authority to make laws regulating religion, when Christians should be working religious issues with their state and local governments?

Most of these establishment types detest Cruz, but they endorse him because at least he has a chance to beat Hillary. Trump on the other hand would lose in a landslide and take the Senate down (and possibly even the House) with him.

It amusing watching Trumpsters attack Cruz for endorsements after mimicking the Trump argument for so long that Cruz has no friends and no one gets along with him.

Also, if Cruz really had a sex scandal sitting out there, he wouldn’t be getting so many endorsements, so you Trumpsters can go ahead and scratch that bit of nonsense of your wish list.

Face it, very few serious people who understand general election math want Trump at the top of the ticket because they know he would be a horrendously bad general election candidate. You can’t alienate everyone but maybe white males and expect to win in November, and Trump has so far managed to do exactly that. His 70%+ disapproval with women alone should be a clear warning sign that Trump simply has no path to a general election victory.
