...and now for Local Politics (PI), a nearby region is having drought conditions and rice is their main food here. An actor donated tons of rice, but the local Governor there doesn't ant it distributed.
A similar thing happened after Typhoon Yolanda. There were literally billions of donations, but the stuff got put into warehouses and was distributed to his party loyals. Two years later (last year) they found most of the stuff rotting. I see the same thing happening with the Dims if conditions were the same there!
I was in BiH during the war. Lots of the UNHCR food, and hygiene supplies ended up other places as they weren’t foods/products the people there were accustomed to. Lots of the medicines from the UN were expired.
Pity that the rice that locals would actually eat was left to rot. Hope that doesn’t happen this time, too.
