You brighten my day, Kit Cat.
It’s such a joy to see you so happy with your umbrella.
I’ve called umbrellas “Bumershoots” for years, dating back to my college days. Now I can’t remember how I came upon that term, but it’s just fun to call’em that. So, enjoy your Bumbershoot!
Maybe you can use it as a Sunbrella, to shade you from the California sun??? Like the Southern Belles did in the Old South! : )
Have a Happy Day, Ms. Cat!
American Dreamer playing on Rightside-—you know what to do!!
When I had my umbrella monogramed business owner was a HUGE Trump fan he was SO happy to monogram my umbrella, it IS beautiful !!! BRIGHT RED MONOGRAM !!!!!! only TWENTY bucks for the monogram and 25 for umbrella I thought the umbrella would set me back a couple of hundred dollars!!!!
Oops, sorry I forgot the “B”. They are BUMBERSHOOTS!
IIRC they call umbrellas bumbershoots in Merry Ole’ England.
As an aside, we have a Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle every year on Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center (where the World’s Fair took place) - have had some great performers in the past (IIRC years ago Tony Bennett was one as was Bonnie Raitt and a few other big names). I’m not into big crowds and weird rockers so have stayed away.
