I found it most interesting that Carpenter was given credit/blame for coming up with the Carson Theft idea even though she’d left the campaign months earlier and was working for CNN at the time. I did some searches but could not find a person who had been associated with the campaigns mentioned at a high enough level to be listed on websites, i.e. such as Communications Director. But Cruz has a big staff and this person could easily have been one level down, thus hidden from my easy searches. However, it should be discoverable.
Why would CNN pay a commentator who is billed as “a former Cruz staffer” if that person is still actively involved in the campaign at the Iowa Caucuses?
On the other hand, they had no idea weeks in advance that Carson would be going home to Florida for fresh clothes or whatever. That came from CNN. Just a coincidence I’m sure...
