Accusations of lies and actual examples of lies are two different things.

Oh, absolutely. And we should never confuse the two.

But with Trump, we're well past accusations and into real, verifiable lies. Tons of them.

Hell, in the past week we've had Trump claim that MSNBC edited his interview with Chris Matthews to make Trump look bad, which is patently false on its face.

What's bizarre is that these are stupid lies. Easily-disproven lies, and lies he doesn't have to peddle. He has plenty of business successes, he doesn't have to claim that failures like Trump Magazine or Trump Steaks are still active business ventures. He doesn't have to claim that he made money on Trump Air instead of losing $100 million.

I'd respect a successful businessman who can learn from his failures. That's just life. I can't respect one who lies and insists that they were all successes.

At this point in society, someone who admits to mistakes will be attacked relentlessly. Reading the headlines on CNN this week has been interesting. Trump's campaign manager arrested, Trump has a bad week, Trump calls for punishing women who receive abortions. Today it is Trump's bad week. At no point in any of this did CNN admit that it made mistakes or attempt an honest investigation of anything.

I would agree with you, but modern society behaves in a manner contrary to that desire.

Matthews did everything he could to catch Trump in make him look bad, Matthews is a sickening little piece of s*** viper and an utterly hostile interview with people he doesn’t like (or is tasted to be that way by his employer), so that has to be taken into consideration. Whether the interview was edited or not I have no idea, as I did not see it and I’d have to see both the non-edited and edited. If it was live and later edited, a person could see for themselves. If the live was taped and could be viewed in entirety as well as the edited one.

So you have evidence that there was no editing?

And in order to know the situation of various business ventures, one would need to see the books, final outcome, and all that stuff. I assume you’ve seen the detailed financial records of those? Or at least some kind of documentation? So you could bring links here or copy info so we could all see the lies, plus the times when Trump lied about them? TIA
