What’s gonna happen if the Cruz scandal gets out and it’s real? What happens if Cruz is our nominee and the scandal bubbles up while he’s running against hitlery? I hope a good man like Trump isn’t shot down by a Chrissy Matthews for a dumb answer to a hypothetical question about abortion. As I said before abortion is not going away any time soon as much as we despise it.

No he didn’t, only if you wanted him to fail. 90% of his interview with Chris Wallace was fine, very good in fact, the last 4 minutes fell into chaos, and here is why it was a set-up:

In it Chris Wallace states that he accepts the church’s Moral Authority for a pro-life stance, but is pro-abortion, but would not make a choice personally as to a penalty to women, rather leave it up to the law.
Trump then stated that there IS law on the books, not good enough for Wallace, he wants Trumps personal view. Trump stated that “if it was illegal”, then there should be penalties.
That is why its a gotcha question.

Trump has been too open and it MIGHT have cost him. However, the spectacle of the gigantic media pile-on may not hurt him, certainly not among his supporters who recognize the motives and malice behind the question. It was acting like he said he would declare WWIII. (That won’t be far down the road).
This was the only mistake he has made with the media but can be rectified by returning to attacks on the media’s motives and credibility. Won’t be that hard.
Curb your glee, no campaign can sustain a meteoric rise like Trump’s has been without a stumble or two. There will be setbacks and mistakes made.
You may wish this to be so, but the people that are voting for Trump are intractable.
