He wouldn't be denied the nomination because Trump has to win this according to the rules in play....you may imagine otherwise but it doesn't change the game rules as they are..... and won't be the first time the electorate has gotten their pants in a knot when they didn't get their way.
Trumps problem is it was ‘late in the game’ before he realized and understood the delegate count, and he knows that....he was basking in all the glitz and glamor of his supporters at his rallies to focus where he needed to. He really didn't know he had to. So now he's trying to make up for the "ground" he should have been covering with the delegates...changing the rules to what he wants and his supporters want isn't going to fly.
Like I said, you can wake around your “rules” victory if you wish. Then you lose.
Trump ignored what savvy campaigners told him from the start. Trump hired Chuck Laudner to build an Iowa ground game - that’s grass roots delegates starting at the lowest level - and then Trump completely ignored Laudner.
Trump has ignored the delegate count as a matter of strategy, not because he didn’t understand it. It’s a gamble based on his Kardashian appeal.
Trump is an accomplished and truly successful person. The next Kardashian candidate probably won’t be, and might even be an actual Kardashian.
