Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.
The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.
Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.
And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.
CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates at State Level
If he wins them there will not be any problem then The Cruz sleaze machine steals them!!! You think this is OK because this is your guy!!! WELL, let’s see what happens when our guy starts to STEAL Cruz delegates !!! You people are disgusting!!!!
If one guy gets 1100 and another guy get 900 if the guy with 900 is the nominee you get Madam President.
“Put it in ads! Send out mailers! Go on TV and and say it with a smile!”
Why would any candidate spend their precious resources and time doing that? To even suggest it is idiotic.
No one has stolen any thing....if you don’t know the rules you lose!!!
So far trump has 2 million more primary votes than Ted. Each one of those vones is a voice. A person who took time to vote.
I call that a majority - what do you call it?
( by the time the voters of New York, New Jersey, MD, PA and California vote, regardless of delegate count, I would estimate Trump will have 4-5 million more popular votes than Uriah Heep Ted ... Saving this to come back to)
That’s fine you can parade your “rules” victory around while no one applauds and you still lose.
No... the guy with the most delegates wins......your vote only determines the delegate count....and they can switch if this goes to convention...they can also switch if they aren’t bound...and they can all switch pretty much after the first or third voting at convention.
Trump and his supporters have a difficult time wrapping their heads around what’s possible and what’s not.....rally numbers are fun and exciting as far as they go...but they do not elect Presidents.
It’s not stealing. Try to think objectively. If no one wins a majority of delegates on the first ballot, then someone will have to change their vote.
That isn’t “stealing.” It’s a necessary part of the process. Delegates need to be persuaded. The art of the deal.
If you don’t like that, then either:
1. Win enough delegates to have a majority on the first ballot.
2. Establish long term relationships with numerous people in the numerous states.
3. Run in some other party.
That’s your opinion...certainly has no basis in fact!!!
You really ought to give 2ndDivVet (or whatever he calls himself) all the respect his posts deserve. Which is none.
I used to care about flamers like him, but the fact is they are so backwards and beyond reason that they’ll never see the faults with Cruz, and will bemoan the rest of us when he inevitably loses.
People like 2ndDiv are a waste of time. Ignore their threads and move along. :)
A "plurality." Just like the rest of the English-speaking world.
Words mean things.
You can risk pissing off the electorate if you like. It won’t work out in your favor, and that is not opinion, that is reality.
Well it remains to be seen if Trump can garner the delegates......regardless of the millions voting....their vote only determines delegate count....and so far Trump doesn’t have it.
I don’t think so......I think the guy who winds up with 50%+1 wins....whether you like it or not!!!
The traditional solution to delegate-stealing is for campaigns to vet potential delegates, and for the truly concerned to start at the lowest level and become delegates themselves. That is, alas, another one of the can-do attitudes that characterized Americans that no longer is common.
The man on the white horse offers instant gratification and relief from personal responsibility.
You can parse that out with the people that see the frontrunner denied the nomination. See how that goes for you.
Oh then I walk back the part about him being questionably qualified in nuclear disarmament
They’ve been “pissed off” before when it doesn’t go their way....nothing new about that.
If the electorate want to get pissed and sit home let them....you don’t get your way just because your holding your breath.
That’s exactly what I’m saying, it doesn’t matter who likes it or not. If the guy with the most votes does not get the nomination the president will be Hillary Clinton.
