Our Republic is lying in the gutter bleeding from the aorta.
Trump is the only one who even admits this, much less promises to stop the bleeding.
When a patient has arterial bleeding, that’s the first thing you address. The patient may also have hepatitis, bad breath, and the heartbreak of psoriasis, but all that means nothing if you don’t get the arterial bleeding under control.
We must first save our republic; then we can take on the less immediate problems.
That is how a thinking conservative can support Trump. Only he will keep our republic alive, because only he is more concerned with that than with his own career and wealth.
Basically, you are just saying you hear what you want to hear. Doesn’t matter if it’s a transparent lie. It’s Hope and Change Part 2.
I totally agree with you. That leaves us with the question if Trump is telling the truth, or is not really on our side. I do not see too much evidence that he is a truthful person. Exhibit A - his continuing lies about Walker and the budget.
I do freely admit that I love that Trump forced a significant change in the dialog. That was very healthy. Just don't know that I trust him.
