See my post 177. Trump is not a true pro-life person.
Rush has never been a tea party conservative. He’s a Club for Growth, Chamber of Commerce conservative. That’s the problem with the word “conservative”, it is about as definitive as “hope and change”.
Cruz is not winning, he needs to get 88% of all the delegate votes in the upcoming elections.
Trump needs 102 delegates to make it impossible for Cruz to reach 1237.
Math is your friend.
Yup. The GOP will never allow Cruz (or Trump) to win in a contested convention. Most likely, it’ll be Ryan. and then that’ll be the end of the GOP.
Cruz or Trump must win by the requisite 1237 majority and then we the people must immediately unite and have the winner’s back!
LOL! Not sure why you would be the target of unpleasantness - you seem to be a really terrific Freeper! I think it is unfortunate that so many on both sides have allowed their passion to turn into frustration with each other - our own team mates.
I understand the impulse, but hope that all of us can return to sanity and begin to place our attention on the real objective which is to defeat the dems!
Ted sCruz the Bang of 8 was able to consult with his Bush team of RINO handlers, that’s where his comment came from. Ted sCruz the Bang of 8 is the ultimate GOPe insider.
But you know that, you are in the sCruz campaign office.
First, you have to accept the premise of Matthews' hypothetical that abortion is illegal. What does it mean to be illegal?

Cruz’s race for Senate and his race for President: apples and oranges, guy, get a clue.
Says you. He says he is. He has children and grandchildren. I believe him.
He won’t save the country even if he is elected.
You’re dreaming.
It’s clear that Cruz is no different from anyone else in the crowd.
Neither is Cruz. What Cruz is is a vote whore, like every other politician.
He wants the vote of pro-lifers, and he wants the vote of pro-abortion women.
“The ultimate goal is to whitewash the homebrew server, and to the extent possible, dispel the cloud over Hillary. This is not a mission for the truth — nothing the government does is a mission for the truth.”
I had not thought of that. *sigh*
But you know that, you are in the sCruz campaign office.
I am an unabashed off the charts no holds barred no quarter given trump supporter ...
I posted the vid because that is what the debate is about, Trump is getting heat because he is not as accomplished as Cruz in doublespeak and deflection - both skills of the creepy politicians...
Personally, I prefer Trump's answer. It was more honest. And I firmly believed he is learning some very valuable lessons the hard way. But he is learning. Cruz is an expert when it comes to saying what best serves him at the moment. I find that a little brutal and offputting.
Here’s my take, Kenny. Rush would prefer Cruz because he thinks he’s more conservative. He’s realistic and realizes Trump might win, so is not trashing him like Levin does. I think Rush is probably hopeful that Cruz might still pull it out, especially with all the incoming that Trump’s been taking lately (some from his own mouth). In the end, Rush will stand behind Trump if he wins the nomination because he doesn’t want Hillary or another democrat to be president. He’s also cognizant that the establishment would like to “steal” this from both Trump and Cruz.
Where I think Rush is wrong, is that if it comes down to a contested convention, which is looking more and more likely, I think they will be satisfied for Cruz to take it from Trump because they think they can control Cruz more than Trump.
Just my two cents.
Makes sense.
1237 or not, the Republican party will never let Trump be nominated....no way...no how.
Well, I don’t.
A true pro-life person would be totally aware of Planned Parenthood and the evil organization that it is.
Pro-life people know that they sell body parts and do no real good for women’s health... that they don’t even do mammograms, for example.
When Trump was questioned about PP, he floundered. He was obviously without a clue about PP and said, well, they do good work and I think they should be supported but I’ll ask them not to do abortions. As if!
Also, he was way too pro-abortion in 2011. I believe people can have a change of heart but I also believe that this one was politically motivated.
Well, he’s giving the dems rope on their claims that PP does wonderful things for women.
That’s excellent, PJ2!
I tried to make the same yesterday on that thread that went wild, but not nearly as eloquent or succinct as you.
Instead, I took the view of 2 parties (doctor and woman) entering into an illegal act or contract and both would be open to punishment by law.
Of course, some or most of us here, realize that abortion is akin to murder and is actually murder in later stages of pregnancy.
Nice day here, 81 OUTSIDE, so I have been listening to Rush on the radio and playing with my puppy, Louie.
