They’re just making Trump more and more popular. He doesn’t have a right to grab her arm, though. That is simple battery if someone wants to push it.

It is not simple battery because there are defenses, exceptions, circumstances to any criminal charge. This is a misuse of the law.

A reporter following a political candidate around is not just a poor little girl that gets manhandled. It’s part of the job and situation that folks are going to get jostled and even moved out of the way.

This whole thing about “against her will” is part of it, as a reporter pushing in past secret service to get an interview, you place yourself in a situation where you can expect to be moved away. It’s therefore not “against your will” in the criminal sense.

This is just one of many legal points. A major one is that it can be seen to be a non incident on the videos. This all happened in a split second Corey isn’t even looking at her he’s just going past.

We can’t allow all behavior to be criminalized.
