Highly unlikely Fields will be sued unless evidence turns up during the criminal trial of some outrageous misconduct on her part (e.g. if the bruises were self-inflicted).
There’s no civil liability just for a “victim” pressing charges for alleged battery.
Remember that we live in a society where women routinely lie to get domestic protection orders as a means to gain a legal advantage in divorce and child custody cases...and there’s a presumption the man is wrong simply because the allegation is made.
I’ve done a lot of court time and I’ve learned that absolutely anything can happen. Court is not a place for logic.
