If Trump is swindled out of the nomination it means the end of the GOP.
Many millions will vote Trump as a write-in and either leave the rest of the ticket blank or vote for every democrat in every other race.
There would likely be only a few republicans left in the house and almost all republican senate candidates would lose.
IMO this will happen even if Trump says nothing at all. If he were to suggest the action to his followers then the result would be of biblical proportions.
This election is the last chance to save the republic... if Trump is not the nominee the amnesty that will follow will change the country in a way that cannot be easily reversed. The only option without Trump is secession.
If we face the end of the republic then getting it over quickly is the best option IMO. Then we can start the rebuilding.... perhaps it would start with The Republic of Texas as a new nation.
Maybe I’m lucky not to be young. It Trump is not able to reverse the course of the nation then I truly pity the children! The world they will be forced to grow up in will not be pretty. :-(
Looks like Trump is a winner.
He’s chosen to destroy everything conservative, everything Republican, and everything Tea Party endorsed.
If anybody doesn’t fully support Trump, he labels them liars.
Even if he wins, he has become a lame duck candidate.
Just fabulous, ...tremendous,.../s
If Trump is cheated out of the nomination I very much hope he runs 3rd party.
If he does, and he wins, GREAT. If he does, and he loses, at least we’ll be able to go down fighting.
If we’re lucky, we’ll destroy what’s left of the rotting carcass known as the GOPe either way.
This could be the first time a third party candidate (Trump) could win. There’s enough distrust in the GOPe and the Democrat Party, otherwise known as the “Uniparty”, for a third, err, second party candidate (Trump) to win!
Looks like we need to start fielding a candidate now that everyone can agree on to run against President Clinton in 2020
The “plan” is coming together.
Bill Clinton never won a majority of the vote. He had Ross Perot (a genuine man, if deluded) to suck votes from the Republicans. Now Hillary is running, and she wants the same safety-net.
So someone (who knows who... but I’ll bet that they can be traced back to a Clinton) goes to Donald Trump, who has been a moderate (at best) all of his life and says, “Donald, you need to get in to this race as a protest candidate. Not only will you show everyone that you could do it, it’ll be great for your brand!”
So he gets in, but the wizards of smart in both parties underestimated two things: one, the level of outrage among the rank and file in the Republican party, and two, Trump’s ego. Once he was the front-runner, there was no way Donald was going to bow out or be satisfied with just being a protest candidate. So now he’s in it to win, and Hillary gets nervous.
But, the GOPe is so afraid of him, they’re going to try to use various tactics to deny him the nomination. So then he denounces the party and runs 3rd party (or a write-in campaign), or his voters just stay home. And Hillary gets the win, just as was always planned...
The GOPe is coming up with ‘ways’, via too clever-by-half ‘rules changes’, to take from Trump the delegates he won fair and square.
I do not blame Trump one little bit.
Can you blame him though? He said he would support the nominee unless he was treated unfairly. Well look what they did, they got Mutt Romney to viciously bad mouth the guy, F them!
I’m not for Trump but I don’t blame him. Each candidate should have told us who the could and couldn’t support from the beginning. I hate loyalty oaths. Be loyal to God and the truth.
