His objective is to win the state. He is appealing to Dem voters and independents who despise Hillary and are indifferent to Sanders.

I have read very little criticism of Gov. Walker until today. I wonder what happened.

Even though I want to see Cruz on the ticket, Trump will be directionally good for the country.
Just want to see Trump act more presidential in any case win or lose.
There's no defense or whining here. All I'm saying is that Trump is already running a national campaign and he's simply playing smart politics by getting Dem voters to cross over. Walker is despised by Dems and independents (and grassroot conservatives) and he is not the same as he was in 2011.
I have no opinion on Trump's remarks on Walker, although I will say that Walker (just like everyone else before him prior to meeting their demise) attacked Trump first back in June.

Trump only attacked him because he endorsed Cruz.
