Herod claimed to be God. Just because Cruz does not disavow someone for them claiming that he would be the person to restore constitutional values to America, it is absurd for you to make the comparison.
This is why I said ‘akin.’
Herod let other people say that his voice was that of a god.
Cruz is claiming to be to be the fulfillment of some prophesy. Thus, falsely claiming God’s words for himself. (False words, no less) Or to be specific, allowing Beck to do so.
That counts as ‘akin’ to me.
