Right after WWII my parents lived right off of Dupont Circle before moving out to Falls Church where I was born.
When my family first came to D.C. in 1963 (we came to see Kennedy’s new grave and stayed!), we lived on Church Street, just off of Dupont Circle before moving to Maryland, and I worked at a law firm across the street from Dupont Circle for about 20 years, too (as well as many other parts of the city). D.C. has its abundant faults (and how), but I really do love this city. I’ve lived here forever, but I still have a jolt of respect seeing the White House, even though I see it every day (there HAVE been one or two good men who lived there through the years).
