That is true wardaddy, but I will always be pleased that Mississippi was the only state whose governor at least allowed the people to vote on the flag issue, knowing from polling what the likely result would be, and he was a Democrat, at that. Of course, that was in 2001-only 14 years ago but already seems like another historical era. I don't believe it would ever happen now-I mean allowing the people to vote on such an issue, especially knowing beforehand that the result would be one which the governor himself, along with most of the “outside world” vehemently disagreed.
