He said it was “utter lies”, “tabloid trash” and “garbage”. Just because he didn’t say with the words you demand does not mean he didn’t say it.
Plain spoken people are honest. Words do mean things.
It probably is garbage and tabloid trash and utter lies to Cruz.
It’s something else in his mind and justified because he’s a senator and his wife works for Goldman Sachs. They’re above ‘us’ you know.
It’s called ‘parsing words’ and ‘lawyer speak’.
Cruz’ failure to deny and refute the allegations with no equivocation suggests there may well be fire behind all the smoke.
For his family’s sake, I hope that’s not the case.
