I started as a Cruz supporter, but am now a Trump supporter. I’m hoping, for Cruz’s wife and daughter’s sakes, that these stories aren’t true. I don’t care whether or not Cruz had affairs. That’s a matter for his wife and his conscience. I do care if it puts him a position to be blackmailed, and I do care if Cruz lies about it (if it’s true), and I care that he’s blaming Trump when the evidence clearly points to Rubio and his people. It seems to me that in this day and age, anyone running for public office who has had affairs would be well served to tell their spouse about it before the campaign, and to allude to rough patches and bad behavior in the marriage because chances are, this information is going to come out.
