Russians are already getting ready.
I was listening to Stephen Cohen on John Batchelor’s radio show recently (WMAL, online) - Cohen has been a well regarded Russia scholar for many years.
Cohen spoke of a split in the Russian foreign policy establishment between the group that wishes to have closer to ties to the West, and the group that is highly suspicious of the West and is calling for a new Cold War.
Cohen criticized Hillary and Rubio for strengthening the New Cold War faction with Hillary comparing Putin to Hitler and Rubio talking about challenging Russia over Syria and Ukraine, among other places.
Cohen said that while he is not a fan of Trump he did give Trump credit for his position on Russia, for giving hope to the pro-West faction in Russia.
